Meet Dr. Rossen

Dr. Matthew Rossen is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the founder of 716 Oral Surgery & Dental Implant Studio. He returned to WNY after practicing for several years in south Florida, where he was born and raised. He was exposed to dentistry at a young age, having a father as a dentist and a mother as a dental assistant. Dr. Rossen obtained his Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from the University of Central Florida. He also founded the Zeta chapter of Delta Epsilon Mu, a professional pre-health fraternity, while completing his undergraduate studies. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. While in Boston, Dr. Rossen served as President of his school’s chapter of Alpha Omega, the oldest international dental fraternity and served as an International Student Representative.

Furthermore, Dr. Rossen completed a 6-year residency program in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at SUNY University at Buffalo. He received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and additionally completed a 1-year internship in general surgery. He also received extensive training in hospital-based anesthesia. Throughout his training, Dr. Rossen obtained comprehensive training throughout the WNY area, including trauma and reconstruction at Erie County’s level I trauma center, ECMC. He also received training in repair of craniofacial deformities and cleft lip/palate at Oishei Children’s Hospital. Dr. Rossen also enjoyed his time spent at the VA Medical center serving veterans through bone grafting and dental implant procedures. In addition, his training included corrective jaw surgery, benign and malignant pathology, TMJ surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, and administration of IV anesthesia. After residency, his training included the placement of zygomatic implants and full arch reconstruction.

Dr. Rossen’s top priority is to provide comfortable and compassionate care to his patients. He believes in getting to know his patients while tailoring his approaches to their individual needs. Dr. Rossen is a firm believer in giving back to the community through education and outreach and has enjoyed his time in underserved areas of the country with Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps.

Dr. Rossen is a member of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and the Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity.

Outside of the office, Dr. Rossen enjoys exploring the outdoors, rollerblading, listening to live music, and spending time with his wife and their two Shih Tzus, Oscar and Sammy. He considers himself an ice cream connoisseur and a Marvel enthusiast.
